Not saying there are not crooked salesman out there either. You need to do your homework and most importantly be ready to walk out the door empty handed.
It may be offensive but I never ran into a salesperson pushing cars or RVs that was totally honest. I will let you know when and if it ever happens.
You didn't specify car/rv salesmen in your post. And it's still offensive even if you specify a sector of sales.
And how would you know if they were honest or not?
If you agree to their price, terms, etc. and then regret it, why does that make them a liar?
