Hey Whazoo and family,
How are the grandbabes doing? I bet they are thriving with you close by.
Cute little guy you have for inspiration for your travels. Clever name for a wanderer.
You know about our travel travails with camper and truck and they don't seem to stop. The September trip had zero issues and we thought this one was without problems, but somehow (could it have been that really rocky road to Delamar ghost town?) one of our rims is cracked so you are not the only one down that road. Brand new tires last May. And, both truck batteries are not holding a charge. Of course, after every trip (usually 3000+ miles), we need an oil change and next week we have an appointment for the front brakes. Hindsight is suggesting we would have been ahead with a brand new rig.
Hey, I know that slot canyon along Burr Trail Road. Your wife and pup definitely add charm. Watch out for those baby rattlers. Cute, but deadly. Full fledged fangs, too.
We were sort of near your neighborhood a few weeks ago. We just returned from a 4 week adventure. I would have stayed but hubby was almost out of meds. One is really expensive out of network. Based on your travels, I wanted to check out John Canyon and other locales. We did make it through Valley of the Gods. Hubby didn't think we could make the switchbacks of Moki Dugway or Burr Trail. I think we could have so a thumbs up from you might convince him otherwise. Also, I want to do the Capitol Reef loop that you did but he doesn't like those wicked washboards. This last trip, we did our share. I think a spring trip is on for the San Rafael Swell and Capitol Reef north, also Factory Butte for the early April flowers.
Great to see that you, Mrs. Whazoo and the new kid are out and about. Happy trails to all of you.
