Older Lance Camper Dinette

I'm looking for a photo underneath the older Lance camper dinette. Some had a drawer pull like mechanism and I would like to see what it looked like so I can convert mine which has these mickey mouse aluminum brackets that don't work well.
  • I have a 95 880 with that table. I solved the problem by removing the table and storing it in the garage!

You just described exactly what is on our 1996 Lance 500. No rollers or bearings. Ours slides OK, you just have to push/pull evenly with two hands. Yours may be tight and just need some redneck adjusting done to it.

  • If the current slide sticks, a good cleaning and lubrication may solve the issue. Over time, the lubricant dries out and the bearings wear grit builds up. Just lubricating may not solve the problem.
  • I guess we need to clarify the situation. It is a 98 Lance 945 Legend with a U-shaped dinette. The table is on a single pole and slides out slightly so someone can sit in the back part of the dinette. We previously owned a similar TC and the slide on the table bottom was like a drawer slide and worked very smoothly. The current table slide sticks. We contacted Lance and they said they no longer make the slide we are looking for. We would like a picture of the "better" slide from some else's older Lance so we can redo the table.
  • What I have now is two aluminum strips that the lower table bracket slides back on forth in. What I'm looking for is a picture of the other system that Lance offered which was a two part slide mechanism "like" a drawer slide.
  • Not sure whether you want the drawer, or a better arrangement to hold up the table top, or both.

I converted my two post table top to a Dream Dinette and just loved it.
