Well I don't feel bad now. Last summer while i was under the hood of the grand son's Rav4 working on a coolant leak, yeah the recovery bottle was empty, I yanked the dip stick and low and behold after wiping it and re sticking, it was totally clean.
I just dumped some wally world oil in it til it showed on the stick and slammed the hood.
