My 2005 gets 19-20 Highway, 14-15 around town and 12.5 towing my fiver.
Your six speed tranny should do even better.
Can't answer the pump rub issue as mine is 2WD.
(That also means you need to knock 1-2mpg off my figures for your 4WD)
