NC the story and the picture of the bracket pulling off the frame is not a good story. That was my concern. Looks like the front end was made to be very good from the earlier years. Are you referring to the recall on the welds from the factory on the front ends?
They had a few that had bad welds so they just wanted them checked and if needed they would send a welder from the factory to repair the bad weld. My deal looked at mine and said its fine. Of all the trucks they looked at the dealership non were bad.
GM has its problems as well and this was a very minor issue.
