Ordered new Ram truck

Very Nice NC. We just took delivery on our 2016 Ram 3500, 4x4, 6.7L, DRW,Long bed. We chose not to go high end. It is definitely a BIG difference from the '04 1500 with a 5.3l. Can't wait to get the rig on the road behind it. :)
I've always been a Chevy man, but I wasn't willing to pay an additional $10K for the bow tie.

I really liked the looks of the Pearl white, slightly different than the bright white, and with the chrome...I also have the front chrome Westin HDX brush guard they'll swap out for me...and they'll put my Companion hitch in the new truck.

"Brush Guard", watch out for it screwing up the front park sense!!!!! I would leave it on the old truck!!! Chris

Hey Chris, you are correct...would have to turn off front sensors...BUT...the very expensive Westin HDX brush guard was THE WIFE'S idea, not mine..She is scared to death we're going to hit a deer...and for the last several years WV was a state where you had one of the highest chances to hit a deer....and that is where we have been doing almost all of our camping...I'd gotten another $850 on trade...but NIXED by the better half...It WAS a deal breaker...SOOOO, The dealer will remove from my 13' and install on the 16'...It is what it is...you know Happy Wife........:B

OK, but get well! Maybe Ron and his wife, Darlene and I can meet up with you and the wife somewhere in the middle of the country some spring. We are heading to Texas the 1st of April this year, then up through central states before turning West, taking a month getting home to the NW. Chris

Have to say dealeer incompetence is the number one reason I left Ford and went to Chrysler products. There is not a good Ford dealer in NW Ohio, SE Mich. Have been to them all, well Tir Motors in Port Clinton was a great dealer just to far of a drive @ 32 miles.

I have been going to Al Smith in BG since 1997 and they also treat me and my family like family. There service is top notch and I deal with the owner anytime we buy.

Hey NC Hauler, I have not posted here in several months, but I wanted to congratulate you on your new truck. It sounds like you are doing a great job of enjoying your resources. Sorry to hear about the stroke. I also had a stroke about the same time and have had other significant issues since then. So, enjoy what you have. Sounds like you have a good plan.

Hey buddy, I hope all will be well with you..It's something you guess will never happen to you and then, when it happens, find out it's a life changer.....I hope you will be ok....a lot of pain trying to "get back", but we're still breathing...You take care partner:)

Hey, my son, DIL and 2 Grandson's moved to Humble in June...Maybe we'll be able to visit with you, when we're able to get down that way:)

My plans for the the last 20 yrs or so were to retire at 66...That was the plans and even with the stroke, That's still the plans...purchasing this truck has no effect on my plans...Dang, you'd think if someone worked their butt off to make a living, they should be able to spend how they want to....Didn't start this thread to hear what I should have done, or what someone else would have done, Heading toward 66, being married for almost 46 years and raising 3 kids, spent time in the military and served in combat...don't drink. never did drugs, never smoked...surely you don't begrudge me because I can afford to buy a new truck with no effect on my future or retirement...Even with taking care of a daughter and two of my granddaughters for the last 3 years due to her divorcing the fool she married.....THAT didn't hurt us either, and it wan't cheap, ( but it's family). Believe it or not, I DO know what I'm doing even at this stage in my life. Hopefully, I won't die before my 66th birthday on July 22nd....but, never thought I'd have a stroke either.....so there you go...glad I gave you something to post about.

You took my post the wrong way. You have balance enjoying life now with the possibility of enjoying life later. If you found that balance, you are better off than most. Some may call me unbalanced, but my balance is just fine for me.
