Wow, you took that the wrong way. Sorry to upset you. I put a smiley face in my email so sorry you misunderstood. I was more or less just saying that I get attached to my vehicles and couldn't imagine getting a new one every couple of years. Sorry if I offended you as that was not my intention. I love buying new vehicles as I just bought a new Jeep Wrangler for my wife and one for myself. My truck doesn't get driven much unless I need to tow.

That's great. Do you have any pics of it?

To add, in the last 3 to 4 weeks, the dealers have been receiving "Gusset" kits for the trucks that don't have cracks in the welds. It's a hefty piece of steel, I estimate 1/4" flat stock that's bent and welded to really reinforce that track-bar joint. It's bolted in. This is done on trucks with no cracks. I had mine done in the last couple weeks. 3 or 4 hour job.

Gotta admit...Just a 110 miles towing wore me out...can't believe how a stroke can affect one...We stuck around the campground and just relaxed..sorry buddy..maybe next time.

Chevman, as far as I know it has been taken care of atleast on my truck. They just checked the weld and make sure it wasn't cracked.

Are you referring to the recall on the welds from the factory on the front ends?
They had a few that had bad welds so they just wanted them checked and if needed they would send a welder from the factory to repair the bad weld. My deal looked at mine and said its fine. Of all the trucks they looked at the dealership non were bad.
GM has its problems as well and this was a very minor issue.
