Outback 295re cable hookup

Just got our 295re home and just going thru everything..I noticed the cable hookup in the back ..makes sense that's where the TV is..but you come inside and I can't find the outlet anywhere..I usually connect my dish there and come in and connect the outlet to my Directv receiver..anyone have any idea where this is?
  • Yep..thanks for the input..going to put in a new input in the back tomorrow and just feed it directly into the back entertainment center..

295RE only has cable in, no sat in. Cable in comes in the back, goes up the back wall, along the ceiling to the bedroom and connects to the bedroom ceiling cable/antenna switch box. Roof antenna goes to the bedroom cable/antenna switch box. output of the switch box has a cable that runs in the ceiling back to the rear wall, down the door side and has the cable coming out a cutout in the wall in the entertainment center along with some other wires. That cable then connects to the RF input of the TV.

For sat in, you'll either need to run the sat cable through a window, or add another feedthrough.

    hope this helps
  • Yep..I only have 1..my Arubu had 1 box with 2 hookups..cable/sat. Thanks for the input..is the install pretty much straight forward? Bu y a box, drill hole, pull wire install box and seal?
  • If you only have one cable receptacle on the outside, you likely do not have satellite prep coax (direct feed to inside receptacle). If only one, it is likely for park cable, which is the same circuit as the antenna and has splitter, ie won't work with sat.
On my rig, I have 2 outside receptacles, "sat in" and "cable". My sat in receptacle sends an independent direct feed to a second independent coax outlet at the main living room TV.
Again, if you only have one outside coax, you will likely need to install a separate outside coax and wire to where you want your sat receiver or modify the existing.
I have wired 4 different trailers for satellite with two receivers and have figured this out. Pm me if you have questions.
