Outfitting a new truck

We're currently awaiting delivery of a 2015 F350 dually crew cab long bed 6.7 diesel. GVWR: 14K pounds

The total truck and slide-in camper combined is expected to weigh in at 14,000 pounds.
The truck was ordered with the Camper Package.

I'll will take the truck to Torklift in Kent for the installation work of a front hitch, SuperHitch and Torklift tiedowns.

While there, I'm thinking that SuperSprings might be in order.
And StableLoads?
Both, or one or the other?

    DITTO.

    I love my Stableloads.

I'd say only do one suspension mode at a time, and see how the truck handles. If you think Stableloads aren't enough, then do Supersprings.
  • I just put an AF 992 on a 2015 F-450 pickup. With full tanks it scales just under 14k. The rear suspension sagged about 3". I added the upper stableloads and this reduced the sag to under 2". I can't tell the difference on the empty ride. Loaded it maybe feels a little more stable.

Once I hook up my trailer I'm back down to 3" of sag. I think I'll try a like this for a bit while I ponder air bags.

My new 2010 Ford truck came with the SIRIUS RADIO package with the travel aid package. I would have never purchased one probably but that has been a great tool to have for our camping trips. Road maps with weather overlays is great.

When we first got it our smart kids was showing how they work and put in the voice directions from our house to the local hospital. Then they all went home and I was stuck with the rather nice sounding female voice telling me how to make turns to get to the hospital every time I started out down our road etc.. I wasn't smart enough to disable it hehe... That lady would get very angry when I wasn't going the directions she was giving me. I even went to the hospital once to see if that would shut her up - didn't work... Kept telling to turn around at every intersections as I was leaving... Finally figured out how to shut her up hehe...

It is so much fun getting old with all of these new to me toys that keep showing up...
