Oven will not light ,but pilot stays on

Humm, with what you have said I'm also thinking there may be carbon build up on the thermocouple. Or, it may not be positioned in the flame good enough. Make sure it is clean and directly in the flame.

I'm not so sure about the carburetor cleaner thing though. Sounds flammable to me, plus it stinks.
