Obviously some of you have not seen what a long load overhanging a rear axel will do to the front axle! Every day in the fall, put a 2100 lbs pallet of antifreeze in th eback of my work transit van. Front axle darn near comes off the road, as ALL 2100 lbs is behind the rear axle. THe sprinter vans we had, had the same 14' body, but a 2-3' long Wheel base, put that 2100 lbs on the rear of that van, it barely barely sunk down.
Same with my pickups. Put a 2000-3000 lb pallet of anything behind the rear axle, part on tail gate, truck squatted, be it a DW with an 8500 GRAWR, or a SW 25 series with a 6100 GRAWR. Push move the pallet so it is centered or slightly forward of the axel, the truck looked and operated fantastic!
From my experience, Scooby is telling the truth as to how to make that load not weigh rear down as much. But as noted, it does appear to be a less than a 6000 GRAW 8 lug truck, so it will be overloaded no matter how you slice the cake. BUT as Scooby notes, proper loading a rig via balancing the load to both front and rear will make a legal load work, vs not work!
