That's really odd that Ram would put those tires and wheels on a 3500, basically limiting it to a 2500-like RGAWR. Also odd that the 17" wheels are so limited, my dad's old F250 has 265/75R16E tires rated for over 3400 lbs. each. Same size tire with a 17" rim is rated for less. :/

Over weight.from the warranty standpoint? From a field legal standpoint? From a civil court standpoint?

You guys need to back away from the computer and get a different hobby.

Actually the guy could be safe with this combo. We don't know if he runs back roads or how fast he drives or anything. He may be over his ratings but also the ratings are geared towards worst case scenario. Driving to you conditions and surroundings is safer than running at or below the ratings and driving like you are towing nothing.

I though the 3500 SRW had a higher GAWR?

Next issue is the 17" tires on the truck. 17" tires have become the unwanted step child for pickup tires. These trucks have a 6200 RGAWR

So maybe some will read this and think that maybe they need to get weighed and maybe not believe a salesman that says a particular trailer.

Are these numbers for a 2500, they look about like the numbers for my 2013 Chevy 2500HD?
