Overnight parking power

We are just running a fan and keeping a LED light on for the kids. Should I leave the power hooked to my tow vehicle for the night or unplug?

We try hard not to disturb our Truck Start battery unless a last resort thing... It is there to start our truck haha May be the only way to get home....

Beef up your trailer batteries to use as PLAN B for travel conditions like discussed above...

Just remember everytime you run your trailer battery down below the 50% charge state (Around 12.0VDC) you are driving a nail in the battery life line coffin...

  • Do you have one or two batteries? From the picture of your TT you probably have two. If so, you will be fine.

  • Depends on tow vehicle........
Trailer battery if fully charged will be sufficient for overnight

But if trailer battery is low/bad and tow vehicle battery is not isolated then tow vehicle battery could go dead.

Ford isolates truck battery from trailer when ignition is OFF
RAM charge line from truck to trailer is always HOT

    Not sure about Chevy---GMC

Unsure about your vehicle...or condition of trailer battery.....unplug
If trailer battery goes dead........two vehicles battery won't
