Owners of Travelite Idea or Cobblestone Brand TT's?

Hi All ~
In an attempt to find the right camper for our wants and needs, our search has changed many times over the past 18 months. Now we are looking at Travelite 15Q or Cobblestone.

Not sure where to find information on relatively new product lines,so far found 2 just articles that appear to be the introductions to the market. Would like to know more, if possible.

Before making a trip to a dealer to check one out,we are hoping to hear from people with knowledge, have impressions and or any experience with the Travelite Idea's or Cobblestone.

Thanks in advance for any help or insight.
  • jpitchko~ sorry to hear of the troubles with your 15iq. Agree the design is great,I still admire the unit. I do hope you have seen the end of the troubles your unit will give you!

At the time we were searching, we could not find a Travel Lite 15q/iq in our area, was not willing to travel 700+ miles to check one out. Since that time we have selected an even smaller unit based on our simple small footprint lifestyle.

Thanks to everyone for the comments.
    Safe travels ~
  • Hi, we purchased a 2014 15 iq last fall. At first we had electrical issues,
poor wiring (poor crimping), which I fixed. TV set went bad, and got a replacement. Recently, had the entire toilet fall off. My wife emailed travelite idea of the issue and were still waiting for a reply. Luckily I fixed it. What's next to go wrong? A sticker says, Proudly made in the USA. I think not. Our review: Poor workmanship, great design for the size. If someone purchases one. Have it checked out, prior to purchase.
  • Thank you very much, linuxmtl. We got your PM, thanks.
We like all the features that you listed, understand your dislikes.
Appreciate this information. Hope to go check it out this weekend.

    Safe Travels,
    Carol and Steve
  • little issue and the delivery everything fixed, send email to CS of Travel Lite answered and work with the dealer to fix the issue.
    Entry door, fixed
    Calking missing, fixed by dealer
    Really nothing major

    What we like
    weight below 3000lbs
hot water with propane and electricity
heated pad of water (grey, black and water tanks) nice in fall and early spring.
Propane tank hidden by the front cover
    Battery inside the unit
    Cherry cabinet with led accent
Counter and table in fiberglass with granit finish
    13 feet awing and electric

    Dislike
The entry (Cabinet over the table) little small but unit small
    Table fixation on one post
Bed mattress, little bit soft prefer stiffer one.

    Send you a private message.

    Hi,

Having a Cobblestone I15Q, purchase in September 2013.
More luxury than regular I15Q, the A/C unit on the roof

Our request was having a unit with max weight of 3500lbs, all RV trailer of Travel Lite using the same frame and wheel kit and all max at at 3500lbs. Having a queen bed, small table and a real bathroom and storage.

Previous unit was a Funfinder X139 for us it's a perfect fit and if needed more information let me know.

    Thanks

Thank you! We are looking at the Cobblestone 15Q even though it has more features than we need.
Any problems so far? What is your opinion of the quality/construction thus far?

    Hi happynow,
I looked long and hard at the Travelite Ideas. They had every option I wanted and some I didn't know I wanted. I felt they were constructed well. I didn't find any glaring faults when I looked at them (like crooked cabinet doors and drawers, poor finish work, staples hanging off trim pieces, etc). If you can find one on sale, the price is quite competitive. They are lightweight and the interiors look a little more upscale. I didn't end up buying one because the ones here in Oregon only had the side a/c unit. I had a bad leaking experience with another TT brand with the side a/c so just couldn't go through that again. If you can find one with a roof a/c unit and its on sale, I would recommend the unit. Or, if you live in a place where it doesn't rain sideways, you could take the chance with the side a/c.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you, Laura! Appreciate your response and comments. We saw an 18' unit at an RV show last Fall and the quality left an impression even though we were not considering the brand or unit at the time.

Saw the 15Q floor plan online, its almost perfect for our needs. As you observed,we also noticed the construction "appeared" far better than most manufacturers we have seen. The brand stood out at a show with a large number of units to see and to me that says something.
