- mellowExplorerThose torklifts look just like the Dock Bumpers you get from Grainger for a fraction of the cost.

Wow! Yeah big difference in price for sure $12 for the Grainger ones or $52 for the Torklift for the pair. But at least the Torklift ones are made in the USA and not China. Also the ones on my camper are getting weathered and cracking. The Torklift ones are guaranteed for life. Still quite a price difference though. :h - luv2skyskiExplorerHey, Joe. Been a long time.
I replaced my bump stops with UHMW polyethylene plastic. They slide down my Line-X'ed bed liner like they were buttered and I was able to make them the right length so the camper wouldn't hit the taillights and I didn't have to put a 1x8 in between the stops and the bed.
Longer Bump Stops
Happy camping, Dave. - mkirschNomad IIIf they're $12 at Grainger, you can surely get them for $6 off ebay or some other website because Grainger isn't known for having low prices.
- mellowExplorerIf you find em cheaper post up a link!
I was looking for bumper stops anyway before this thread came up and after seeing the price for torklifts I went ahead and bought a pair from Grainger, should have them today. Placed the order yesterday so you can't beat that. - rider997Explorer

Except the Torklifts (Torklift camper bumpers) are made in the USA and the Grainger set is made in China. So I doubt they're the same quality...
The Torklift product has a lifetime warranty; the Grainger product has none. - JoeChiOhkiExplorer IIThanks for the parts, I have a second question pertaining to these bump stops, what is the normal orientation? I've seen them turned on their sides along the bottom as well as the way they show up in the Torklift images.
My main interest will be in knowing where to add additional framing to the lower tub to anchor them into.
Amerigos weren't originally designed for corner jacks, and I'm going to be adding additional framing to the front wall of the camper so that its properly transmitting corner jack loads (Most of the front wall is hollow with a 2x2 outline frame). - mellowExplorerI got the bumpers in, decent quality and looks like they will hold up for a while.
My older shadow cruiser didn't come with bumpers either so I am adding them after the fact, I was going to go with the vertical orientation and through bolt them on and try to shim up where they will go on the inside.
