Great idea and well executed. I saw your original post and pictures back in June and have sketched what I want to do based on your base design, trying to tweak your design.
The turn-block stops looked like a weak link. I've been trying to think of a better way to stop slide out movement and think I have one....
Use two butt hinges attached to the vertical side of the slide out tray, one at each end and stop blocks mounted on top of the 2x4 rails at each end. You can also have another stop in the middle to prevent you from going beyond 50% if you need a stop/reminder.
Gravity will keep one side of the butt riding on top of the 2x4 rail. Rotate it up to slide the tray out. You don't have to release or do anything to the opposite butt hinge to slide the tray out. This should prevent the slide out from moving while in motion.
