Actually, you I think you do understand my post because you go beyond the given "payload capacity" rating and look at GVR (and dont forget axle ratings should be included) as you should.
Problem is, there are some TV's out there with payload numbers that do not match GVR-Curb Weight. I found there are some with low payload numbers compared to GVR-Curb weight. I owned one example (which is what got me on this against the grain band wagon) with a 1300lb payload cap, 6100 GVR and 4500lb CW. GVR-CW = 1600lb payload, right?. So whats the "real" payload cap, 1300 or 1600?
So when many on this site say everything stops when payload caps are approached...I'm saying not so fast. Look beyond the payload cap number as most OEM's appear to do to double check the numbers using axle weight ratings and GVR for towing purposes.
