Problem is, there are some TV's out there with payload numbers that do not match GVR-Curb Weight. I found there are some with low payload numbers compared to GVR-Curb weight. I owned one example (which is what got me on this against the grain band wagon) with a 1300lb payload cap, 6100 GVR and 4500lb CW. GVR-CW = 1600lb payload, right?. So whats the "real" payload cap, 1300 or 1600?
Real payload is GVWR minus actual weight. That only way to know that is to weigh it. If someone is going to estimate, use the Tire and Loading sticker posting on every 2006+ vehicle in North America. No one buys the "Base Curb Weight" vehicle.
