One persons cautious or prepared is another persons paranoid. Being a backpacker, one doesn't get more boondocking than that. We sleep on the ground without a tent.
Yeah, we used to wade our local creek to attend to our bank poles and then just sleep on the bank somewhere.....Then we did a lot of tent camping and scoffed at the people in those RVs...Who would want to go camping in one of those things...might as well stay home.....Then we had a couple of run-ins with bear....Now kind of nice to get into that TC at night.
