We've had good results parking the truck oriented so the sun doesn't hit the cab. Usually sort of a northeast direction. This way, the TC and cabover shade the cab all day. We pop open the rear door windows to get cross flow air then make sure he has water and food. The cab is always the coolest area. We do leave the tunnel open for Charlie and the fantastic vent on blowing out. Other roof vents closed so as not to draw in any heat off the roof. We will also open the cabover window that's on the shaded side. It's never been a problem to leave him there. Funny thing is he will still get up on the bed and slip under the covers. He does go up and down as he likes. we don't worry about him.
