Piano in Dinette Table
Okay, okay, it's not a piano... it's a MIDI keyboard :) As part of their homeschooling program my kids need to be studying music, and the instruments they are both learning to play are the recorder...

Thanks for the kind words everybody!
This project was the result of many hours of work. Just finding the right MIDI keyboard took several visits to the local music shops. Then I Then I measured, re-measured, and measured again... and then I drew up then whole design in CAD before I ever cut a piece of wood.
For those that questioned legroom under the table; There is 7-½" between the bottom of the boxes and the top of the seat cushion. I don't know if other TC's have similar dinette dimensions, but for us this is plenty of space.
This photo shows my wife and my son seated (playing cards) at the dinette table... Yes they have matching PJ's... and yes that's a sack of potatoes in the bin on the floor ;)
In addition, you can see the wire that goes to the keyboard's sustain pedal.
This shot shows both tabletop doors open... a typical scenario in out TC.
