I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about when saying "Besides the the hard pressure required the proportioning is way to front brake heavy, especially when loaded, and it gets even worse with the factory rear air bags." I have rear air ride and don't see it effecting braking at all.

I don't get this either "You get the historically loose/vauge Dodge Ram steering thrown in as a free bonus." my steering in the 11 and now 15 is VERY tight and precise. Now my 98 did benefit from a steering stabilizer and new tighter steering box but that is MANY years ago.

32,500# going down the road with a ridiculously heavy hitch in the bed and I have no need for more power.

Sounds like you just need to sell that POS RAM you have and put that light weight hitch in another tow vehicle.

As far as brakes being crummy for years I can only say My previous 2006 Ram CTD 4x4 which I owned for 9 years got praises from me. Never had an issue with hard stops and only replaced front brake pads once!! Never replaced the rears and I had brakes checked many times before and after trips with heavy TCs. Steering though for my year truck was another issue. Spent a lot of money on well documented 3 rd generation steering woes!! IMHO the steering on my 2015 Ram is much improved. Braking seems fine too.

You can't go wrong with these new Rams , ridiculous torque is correct. The engine brake is dialed perfectly for towing.

My problem with the Andersen is the extra work out for the landing gear, safety chains, and what might happen to it in an accident.

Like my B&W RVK3270 and really liked our earlier Hijacker sliding bar hitch for 19 years and two trucks, and two different trailers.

Would not have a SB without a slider.

I'm going to disagree to a point..last spring towing my 39' 9" HR with CAT scale weight 0f 16,300#, going toward TN on I40 through "The Gorge", Coming around a corner at about 50mph, an idiot pulled right in front one, (IO was in the left lane, and the idiot had to immediately had to brake..I had to SLAM on the brakes and hollered at my wife that we were going to hit him, I could feel the ABS in the pedal....How in the world we stopped and missed the fool was a miracle..I've been doing almost 50 years, towing for 40+ yrs and that's the only time, I KNEW I was going to wreck, but those brakes stooped us....So, I'm a bit more impresses with these brakes since I had to use them HARD in an emergency stop..from a real life experience..the wife and I feel pretty doggone good about the trucks breaking system

I actually stopped so hard that I thought it might dislodge the hitch from the puck lock down system....ended up feeling better about THAT set up also.

Just because you don't like people talking about The B&W hitch, no reason in making up reasons to not have it...The hitch weighs no more than the picture frame adapter PLUS the Reese 20K Signature hitch I had before this one..

I've owned these trucks since mid 2010, owning only Chevy trucks before that, last 4 being D/A, and I've NEVER had the first issue with the steering, and I spend 99% of my towing on curvy mountainous roads...I haven't seen any of the issues you are telling us about.

There are people out there with same weight hitches, maybe lighter that have added extra fuel tank...how much more power you going to need for that:h...

I think the Andersen is a very good hitch, have recommended it,,,never cut on it...and won't start now. But cut away on others if it makes you feel better
