I did not want the factory bed view camera as it moved the park view rear camera to the rear view mirror small digital display and put the bed view on the 8.4" center dash display. And it was reported as not been have good.
So it was raining today and I started googling around and found a couple smart phone apps that link to devices on WiFi network. What I ended up liking was IP Webcam which is free in the Play Store. Rather than use my Moto X's hotspot for a local WiFi network I got out my unused Verizon 4620 JetPack which currently is not on a plan. It however allows WiFi connections. Next I dug out mine out Verizon HTC Rezound smart phone as the video camera/transmitter. That was followed by a spare tablet my brother gave me a while back.
So one starts the apps on the camera/transmitter after linking it to the MiFi and it gives you an ip address to telnet to with the display device, in this case the 10" tablet. Once connected to the camera/transmitter device you select flash player and you see whatever the camera see real time on the display device.
Now to make a temp mount for the smart phone while hitch'n! Will also check range to see it I can hang the smart phone on the rear of the trailer to back into camp sites.
