You are way over thinking this. Every gas station gets fuel delivered by a tractor trailer. They get in and out just fine. A pick up truck and trailer should be no problem.
With the little mom 'n pops around here, the tractor trailer just parks in the road while it refuels the station. Same thing with freight deliveries to the nick-nack shops, semi just parks half on the shoulder, half in the traffic lane.
Every Garmin GPS I own has a "coming up" feature, that indicates distance and relative heading to fuel, banks, food, whatever. Big stress reliever right there - if I'm on fumes and need fuel, I don't really care the price.
