"Poles on slide?" 1999 Jayco Eagle model 266

Our son is buying the above TT. On the side of the slide it says "Remove poles before cranking in."

Question: Where are the poles located? Anyone have a picture of this?

Info: Slide is electric with manual override in case of electrical failure.

  • Back in the late '90s, early 2000s, I remember shopping some trailers that had rear queen bed slides that required supports when deployed. In some cases they were brackets that folded out, in other cases they were poles that needed to be added. That's all I can think of. I haven't looked at the floor plan though.
  • We had a 99 243RKS 5'er, it had 2 bars that held the slide IN. They laid on top of the slide. We tie some red ribbon to them that hung down as a visible reminder to remove them before running the slide out.
