I am very uncomfortable in TC with no slide.
Have 2nd TC on my rental property and since it is park in carport, I could not open the slide and even for single me, it was discomfort.
At some point I was considering pop-up as emergency TC for quick business trips, but they are not that cheap, the mentioned issues with bathroom, AC on them are almost non-existent and while they don't weight much less than same size hard-shell, buying used brings the question when you will have to worry about replacing the folding walls.
The only advantage is less fuel consumption and maybe (for hunters) less height, but those are not advantages who would outweigh cons for me.
