- TystevensExplorerYeah, this "expert" has made several videos about Ecoboost "issues" that the great, great majority of us aren't seeing in the real world. He is kind of a joke on dedicated F150 and Ecoboost forums, FWIW.
That is the fun thing about the Internet! I could post a video proclaiming to be an expert about who-knows-what, and there is a certain percentage of the population that would believe me. I mean, it's on the internet, after all! - wing_zealotExplorerYawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ..........
Another hack trying to blacken the eye of the top dog. Stay on the porch! - Community AlumniHere's Part 2 where he shows his findings. He's still long winded so just jump to 5:52 to actually see what's going on.
Part 2 - Sport45Explorer IISo don't try to clean them through the turbo. I don't think this is new.

Besides, I don't have a need for the 2.0L Ecoboost for pulling an RV.
Thanks, you kept me from getting bored.
OP, can't you just give us the skinny rather than having to watch some long winded video?
..........The turbo gets very hot due to the introduction of excess cleaning fluids during Induction service to remove excess carbon from exhaust valves and other parts like the mass airflow sensor .
.........It would appear that the computer maintains a very precise fuel\air ratio by controlling fuel injection and the air flow volume from the turbo(s)..........when excess fuel volume is introduced less air volume is needed and the heat transfer from the exhaust side of the turbo cannot be dissipated as quickly as it should be and it gets too hot . The guy in the video explains the cause and effect very well . , jf - jimmyfredExplorer
