Power issue?

I have the 1988 bigfoot on my truck, just went out and the panel with Grey water, water pump, ect lit up for split second when I touched a button then nothing? My fan works lights work,I am confused? The battery shouldn't be the issue there was other things working I looked at the fuses seem good even if the battery was dead having it plugged into 110 volt it should work?any ideas?
  • loose connection somewhere between the power source and the panel or within the panel itself... worst kind to diagnose...

If the water pressure is up - the pump has a pressure shut-off too which will interrupt the power to the pump when the water pressure is up in the lines. So the pump will not engage with water pressure in the lines too.

But the blink light is confusing?
im a dork you were exactly right, I assume the switch light for the pump is just old like me
    Thanks alot

  • Check the power at the pump, with the switch on. If no power, by pass the switch on the panel and connect directly to the pump. Don't forget you need both a 12-volt and ground wire for the pump to work.

I think the pump should run even if the tank is empty. I could be wrong about that. I replaced my pump years ago. My present pump will run with an empty tank.

  • Also I have 12 volt at the switch, the red indicator light on pump switch lit
Momentarily but went out maybe the light portion is just old however still no pump, would the water tank need to be full in order to make it work or kick in?7I know on my trailer that's not the case
  • So the panel works now? Gremlins, but water pump doesn't im guessing it's toast or maybe the switch? The fuse is.fine
  • We have a Lance ... it has one main breaker panel with one main fuse panel in a main breaker box, and another auxiliary fuse panel under the sink. The under sink panel has larger fuses for some circuits. Check your wiring diagram and see if you have more than one panel.
