power not "on" when using battery
Any suggestions on what to check for why I can have power to out TT when it's plugged into an outlet (either at the campground or our house) but not when it's running on "just" the battery? I know so...

Sounds like the converter is working if you get 12V when plugged in...
Since you have no 12V when unplugged: Is the battery dead (use a voltmeter with the TT not plugged in). Is there a battery disconnect switch?
