I recently bought a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 24 valve CTD with 161,000 miles on it.
It has a custom front bumper/grill guard and the A-pillar gauge package.
5 speed manual transmission.
Yes, it has some minor problems, but nothing expensive, so far.
Cost? Under $10K, out the door. After title transfer and registration fees, still under $10k. There was a similar bone-stock truck at another dealer for $8800, but I wanted the big aftermarket bumper.
The good deals are out there, one simply has to be willing to accept the fact that those trucks WILL have over 100K miles on them, and be aware that any rig with under 300K has lots of life left in it IF it had even minimal maintenance.
Now, if I can just figure out how to tow the CTD behind the motorhome. That rig is HEAVY (about 7000 lbs.)!!
