Based on the way the Duramax wasted the Powestroke last time I'm not sure 40 more ponies at 2900 rpm is going to be enough to give the Ford a victory if the trailer weight and hill are the same this time. A hill and trailer weight combination can be chosen that will expose a weak shift point in a truck. An eight speed transmission would make it tougher and an infinely variable would be the ultimate. I wonder how long till we'll see diesel electric trucks recharging their batteries on the down grades so they can be drained again on the big climb.
