Predictions for the one ton diesel HD shootout

So the 3/4 ton gassers have been tested and the ratings compiled and argued about. Next week, the 3500/350 series diesel portion will come out. This is not a brand loyalty test, just how you think Pickuptrucks.com will rate them. Let's see who can guess correctly.

Here's my prediction:

1. Ford
2. Ram
3. Chevy/GMC

Winner gets an all expenses paid trip to nowhere for a 5 night stay at yo mommas house resort :B

  • OK Ford will win .Ram will be 2nd and chev will be 3rd. HP and Torque will be the winner but it didn't make the 3/4 gas test win. Gotta go and get the dabbers ready for tonight. If dabbers is even a work.

  • Awe come on you bunch of old grouches! You guys are about as much fun as a root canal. You'd think someone canceled Thursday night bingo at the retirement home the way some of you are so crusty! :B

    Play along now.
  • Best vehicle service we have had has been at the chev garage in wenatchee. This is a reason for buying what we do. Not much else matters to us.

plus we didn't buy our truck to tow a freight train.

  • Be honest now: how many people make a decision to buy brand A over brand B, because it was 12 seconds faster up the Eisenhower grade? Darned few. We decide based on our past ownership history and on ergometrics and esthetics. How muuch we like sitting in that drivers seat. Not on 440 HP vs 460 HP.

Brand C is out in my opinion since they have shown themselves to be happy to ignore problems in their vehicles.

  • #1 - Ford
    #2 - GM/GMC
    #3 - Ram

And I aint never stayed at yo momma's house! Or have I ???:B+

I can only imagine just how fast this thread will go even further down hill!!! :-)
  • The one with the highest numeric diff and/or the highest numeric final ratio to the ground

    Of course assume same/similar displacement

    Not forced fed

    Not direct injection

Hoping truck engines will come out with GDICI some day...and hoping a kit to
    convert my 7.4L to GDICI...
