I would agree that the 18's will be out before long and they should start discounting the 17's. As others have suggested I would check truecar.com for what others are paying.
When I was buying new I would always low ball them knowing they would not accept. This cut a lot of the BS out getting to a low price.
Actually one time my very low offer was accepted, even surprised me.
