problem shifting truck out of park
I have a 2005 dodge 2500 diesel with auto transmission.
a few times I have had a hard time moving the shift lever out of the park position to drive.
anyone with a dodge truck ever have a problem like this,
motor and transmission run and shift fine,
this has happened about 4 times since I have owned the truck, truck has 72K miles.
just concerned as this could strand me sometime in the future.
sounds like a small problem, but you are dead in the water, if you cannot get the truck into drive. cannot pull mama bears camper if you are stuck in park!!!!!!!
do not want to jerk too hard on the shift lever as I could tear up something else, even more expensive to fix. There has to be something hanging the lever.
anyone ever heard of this problem with a dodge transmission?
thanks for your reply,
