I have this unit. It does have a metal plate with it which will fit a padlock. I also have a 2 foot section of chain if needed. Depending on the campground pedestal chain may not be needed. This past trip pedestal box had a hole already that I was able to use with padlock. Check Amazon they are much cheaper than CW. Plus it is made in North Carolina and has lifetime warranty.
