bka0721 Thanks for very good advice.
I know that it bothers a few experts when I mention my experience... in days or years... but I for one like to know who is sharing long term skilled experience as opposed to opinion or guessing that sometimes sounds credable..

The worst thing that you can do in very cold weather is to get your bedding and clothes damp or wet. I learned this more 70 years ago when we camped in tents... just breathing would have the sidewalls of the tent raining on us... then if the moisture on the side walls froze it might thaw some during the next day and get the bedding wetter. If you'd like to hurry the process... just take some boiling water in the tent with you.
Our truck campers are a lot tighter and hold the moisture better (worse)... and most TC's will have some places where the walls will have ice form from breating, cooking, and I'd say showering but if it's that cold... few of us will shower.
Many of us were trained in the military... we were court marshaled if we got frost bight... I have seen -60°F and gone for months at -30°F being the highest temperature, We were taught to stay dry... if our feet got damp or wet to change socks... we were taught to bury under the snow and make a snow cave... the temperture deep in the snow is 32°F (a lot warmer than out in the air.
You know about CO2, CO, and lack of oxygen...
Your best fully charged batteryis at its best at 77°F or 25°C... but you only have 50% or less of that charge as it gets colder.
Have you ever noticed that on extremely cold mornings your vehicle won't start... then you return to try again in the afternoon and it does start? What is different is the battery warmed up some during the day.
My experience: I put batteries in the wheel wells of my truck... I still ran out of furnace power during the night and couldn't charge the batteries back up with the generator... they wer e just to cold.It was 20°F... the hardest month I've ever had in a camper. My AGM batteries are NOW protected inside the camper and have battery heater blakets... now I get the full charge.
Advice... weigh your options carefully... find someone with real experience to ask... thats what I did. Some of them are on the TC forum.
