Shouldn't have to strip it right down. I did the same thing with my Hensley and new TT last year. I dropped the old tt off when picking up the new so I was able to park them side by side. I just undid the pins holding the bars to the jack screws, unlatched the tongue and raised it, then pulled the TV ahead with the whole hitch. Backed up under the new one and reversed the process. Only thing left to do was unbolt the frame brackets from the old, move them onto the new and re-attach the bars, then adjust as required. Simple. Took about an hour.
