ProPride WD Jack twists when raised

One of my WD jacks on my Pro Pride hitch has a nasty habit of twisting as I raise the jack. With the truck and camper loaded, I need about 6" of WD jack height. The driver's side jack began twisting itself where the top of the jack torques itself enough that the alignment dots of the top half don't line up with the groove in the bottom half of the jack, anytime I raise the jack more than 3". This makes raising and lowering the jack an exercise in sweaty, grunting, profanity.

Any Pro Pride owners have similar experience? Wondering if I can disassemble the jack (which I believe is a BAL product) and repair it somehow.
