Yep, and the reason is that smaller is cheaper.

You can do what you want; but remember, the designers of the TT and TV build their product to perform around the materials they have selected. That includes the tires.

Marginal or not those are the materials that were selected to do the job.

Of course if you are the expert and are compelled to up-grade there is nothing stopping you, except perhaps the manufacturers warrantee.

Almost everyone upgrades a few TT or TV items; because it just makes them feel safer, better, etc.

Most all tire wheel combinations from OEM are marginal at best.

Bigger trailers will have bigger tires but still very close to the max rating.

I always stay with what size the factory put on , Same on the tow veh. I always figured they put that size tire on for a reason.

Unless you put a larger diameter tire on, a 14 and 15 inch rim will turn the same speed...

If you put a noticeably larger diameter tire on...you will need to adjust the hitch, and may have some other problems (clearance between tires, brakes will wear faster, stabilizer will be further extended....less stable...)

Absolutely no disadvantage to going bigger if they fit.

As noted before 15 is better choice just as far as finding a replacement in small towns just in case u ever had to.

Ain't a whole lot of difference . Fifteens do turn slower , either would not be a deal breaker . As for on the road availability most Wal-Marts . Tractor Supply and many more will have fourteens , six ply mounted on galvanized wheels for about $110.

Between 14" wheels and 15" wheels on a travel trailer???

Fifteen inch provides more choices. And if you can go with 16 inch tires so much the better as there are more non ST choices.

15" tires - more tire choices. Also more likely to find a tire in a small town if you have a problem where you need to get a new tire.
