- HannibalExplorerDepends on what’s behind the back in site. If it’s barking dogs or screaming kids in the rear neighboring sites, I’d rather have a pull through. If it’s woods or waterfront, I prefer back in.
- BoomerwepsExplorerThe angle of the back in campsite to the road is more important to me. Pull through is easiest. I haven't gained any extra privacy with back ins since most of the CGs I've stayed at have back ins butting against each other from parallel roads.

Same here. Our seasonal site is a pull through. It is pretty large at about 70L X 50W. I don't think we've been in any back-in sites that size in any park. We've been in back-up sites that are smaller and we've been in Pull through sites that are smaller.
-Michael - opnspacesNavigator IINo real preference. I just like a site with a bit of room around it, so I'll take whichever fits. I guess for a stop in the middle of a trip I would prefer pull through. But I have never taken an RV trip that required an overnight stop so I can't speak from experience.
Hey Jebby I'm curious why you block off the site with the truck? Is it an aesthetics reason? Or have you had issues with people doing weird things like trying to park in your site?Jebby14 wrote:

Depends on the park, otherwise. Most of the state parks we visit are almost all backins, and the few pull throughs have zero privacy. - AtleeExplorer III prefer pull throughs since I'd rather pull my trailer than back it up. I will do either of course.
But rarely do I go to a camp site just to enjoy my surrounds and enjoy nature and sit around a campfire.
Most of the time we are either following our football team, visiting national parks to view wildlife or the scenery, or visiting relatives. In all those cases, the campsite doesn't mean a lot to us. What means something is how close the campground is to the activity we're pursuing. - _1nobbyExplorerOne of my favorites sites to camp has 2 driveways and is 20 feet from the water. To have my TT face the water i drive in at a 45 degree angle and just before I hit the firepit I crank it hard and aim for the other driveway.
I am usually unhitching with the truck jack knifed. And then out I go.
Now....not your typical drive through and good luck doing it if you are longer than my 22' TT :)
But what a view. - sgfryeExplorer

same here - Jebby14Explorerback in. the more privet the better, and if its pull through at least 2 of the sides have no bush to isolate them. also backing up isn't that hard.
