I had a 2006 Avalanche with the 5.3 and 3.42 rear... Avalanche is a great vehicle, but not the greatest tow vehicle.... The rear suspension is too soft to carry a heavy tongue weight... Coil Spring rear suspension gives a great soft ride, but not condusive to heavy towing... If I recall the Avalanche is rated to tow a maximum of 7500... I loved my truck, but I had to upgrade to a 3/4 ton to tow the weight of a 24 foot boat.... You might be able to tow that trailer with the Avalanche, but it will be white nuckel towing...
