Purchasing new TT, what can I get them to throw in

CONGRATS on getting the rig you wanted and what sounds like a great deal with a WD hitch thrown in after the price settled!.. That hitch is worth at least $500-700 with 1200 lb bars.. plus a hundred $ of other goodies! WAY TO GO! Happy Camping!

Nice looking Bullet! Think it is same size as ours except bunkhouse instead of our twin padded rockers in the rear. Only 2 of us now.. kids are off on their own! We have only had ours 1 year(Nov 2014) and used only 10 nights in 2015 due to work, but I am impressed that it has been flawless! Not 1 single issue in all the systems or quality, fit, and finish! I have only seen positive posts from other Bullet owners on this forum.. nothing negative.. hope that continues. You have had yours 3 seasons..any issues with it? How many miles have you put on it? Your experiences can help me watch out for certain things!

Thank you--it has been a great TT for us. No issues for us other than some minor shake-out items (power tongue jack wired incorrectly) when we first took delivery. I haven't kept track of exact mileage but I can give you a rough idea by telling you its gone on two trips to Yellowstone from MN and then to Florida and back from MN this past fall besides all over MN. We camp 32+ nights a year, mostly in State Parks, so it gets used plenty.

We bought during a slow time of the year and we got a Fantastic Fan exhaust fan installed along with all the high-quality shelving my wife wanted installed (wardrobes and kitchen cabinets). We also got a factory "bonus" package that included a black tank rinse, power tongue jack, motion patio light, folding plastic patio table, and a few other items.

You should be able to get a number of things thrown in if your negotiating with a good dealer and sales person. We walked away from a young inexperienced sales person at another dealer on a previous HTT purchase. If the TT your looking at doesn't have these following items, I'd ask for them to be included:
Power tongue jack
Fantastic Fan
Black tank rinse

While I agree one should not every pay for a PDI nor a starter kit one can get "EXTRAS" at bargin basement prices after they they have negotiated the best price and use these sweetners to close the deal. During the purchase of our current trailer I got a 12K/1.2K Equal-i-zer hitch installed and a dinette length slide out cover installed for $450 and got to keep my extra long shank from my current WD hitch along with them moving my electric tongue jack from my old trailer to my new one at no cost. So I highly recommend negotiating these add on sweetners after you have agreed on the final best price for the basic trailer.

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT LARRY! That is how it is done! As I mentioned earlier in this thread, we got a power tongue jack, E2 WD hitch, brake controller and aluminum mag wheels all thrown in after we made a great price deal and they wouldn't drop it any more... because I told them I had a few more dealers to see and would think about it. They said "What will it take to earn your business today and those were my "sweeteners to seal the deal! They agreed to all of them and we bought it!

Often dealers charge you a PDI cost, or for a 'starter kit'. Don't pay that as it is only more profit to the dealer. You can dicker all day about hitches, jacks, etc. and at the end of the day you pay back all that free stuff in the cost of your PDI that can be as much or more than $600 pure profit to the dealer. That was where I was when I bought this trailer I am sitting right now. So I went home and did some shopping on the internet and bought this trailer for $3800 less than the "local" dealer wanted. Yes, I had to drive 600 miles to get it.....but I still saved a bundle.

Not to worry, I have prices from multiple places including big online wholesales like RVDirect. I am working on getting this one dealer down a bit more because that is where I want to buy it and am willing to pay a little bit more there because its local and because of the reputation they have in my area. I know a lot of people that have bought there and have been very happy with the sevice. He is already in the right ballpark, just trying to save myself a little extra as it seemed like there was still room when I talked to the manager. This is not my first dance, and I have no issue haggling.
