quality control
Seems Lance truck camper is losing its quality control. Mass produce and ship them out. Let the customer handle it. Or are they making units that are seconds?

What amazes mw about all of this is the fact that none of this seems to have been detected at the delivery walk-thru and delivery was declined until the discrepancies were corrected. How can you NOT notice a gap large enough to put your hand into at delivery? When we picked up our 992 in March, we spent well over an hour going over every appliance and installed option to include all the switches and the monitors. We physically looked at every square inch of the inside and the outside of the unit and found a couple of minor problems that were immediately corrected by the dealership.- travelnutz

Thanks to your observation of bwanted's posts, I viewed them also and can remember several of his posts previous to the ones you referenced. I also have problems feeling he's being honest and factual in his assessments and/or complaints in his forum writings. Constant problems and/or issues other posters don't/didn't have in my 7+ years on this forum or on the other forums I participate in. Several of his issues are more than off the wall in sensible reality. Seems to be a person who finds "faults" or conjures up issues with about everything. Perhaps he really has a hidden agenda? Lip service and finger poked words but not one actual verifiable picture or original document to backup or support his lofty plethora of the claims made on this forum. Adds up to "readers of his posts, beware" and be sure to have waterproof washable hip boots on!

- Side where the The dump valves and power pull on and pull off and Out side shower. The camper outside panel is pulled away. There is a seal and you can stick your hand inside with out opening the door. Was at the dealer for scratches on the bed skylite and the to replace all the wood around the rear sofa that was beat up. They called me and said it was there.Drove down and it had not been shipped. Screws from the heat duct arnt hitting nothing. The dump tank valves were marked wrong. No marking for city water or black tank flush. But I did fix the pass thru window leak. Cable pulled out of the tv. Bought a new one at radio shack. It 200.00 rount trip to the dealer. Been there twice. So if anyone thinks im complaining I SURE am.

As far as shavings and filings where holes were drilled, I have had 5 different RVs (4 different manufacturers)and all 5 needed cleaning up in battery compartments, behind access doors. etc.
And the dealer isn't addressing any of this?- Welcome to the world of RVs. Ask any salesman: "Is the first question you get from a prospective customer on quality or price?". They are supplying what the market is asking for.
One thing to remember on an internet forum: quality is subjective, everyone is going to have a different assessment, even of exactly the same product. Good for one, bad for another - it just depends on your expectations. I keep my expectations in the RV world very, very low, and I am occasionally surprised on the upside. But not often. You do realize that Glue is joking....right?
