quality question. Wolf creek VS Palomino

Take a look at WWW.livinlite.com All aluminium and nice ones in the 20's. Call the people there, they are nice folks. I have seen their TC's at RV shows. They will last a long, long time.

We purchased our left-over, 2012 WC 850, having never laid eyes on any Northwood Manufacturing product, after 10 months of research and a touchy-feely in person tour of a Palomino hard side. They're not in the same league. The Palomino is great for its target-market, but we didn't want an inexpensive, sharp-edge constructed and uncomfortable, Walmart mentality, frustrating piece of equipment while travelling/camping during our precious time available for recreation.
The Palomino dealer, about 40 miles away, made an offer that was so low, it was enticing. However, I had a feeling I'd regret the deal. I have zero regrets after a trip to New Hampshire, Truck Camper Warehouse, and about 60 nights/7,000 miles of adventure with the Wolf Creek (over the past 14 months). About half of those miles were pulling a 6x12 enclosed trailer with two, heavy-weight motorcycles (no hitch extension required).
They're not perfect, and, maybe, not affordable with a very modest budget, but a better fit for our desires. A hard side, trailer friendly, 4-season (15 degrees in West Virginia and over 100 degrees in Florida), well laid-out, tastefully appointed unit that isn't a weight hog and doesn't feel cheap.
Give the guys at Truck Camper Warehouse a call. They proved themselves worthy of my efforts/money and I'll be sure to contact them when we're ready for our next camper (but I won't drive trough New York before, during or after an ice storm, again).

I'd suggest you do a search in this sub-forum, it seems the Wolf creeks aren't entirely without their issues. I would have liked to look at one but none were close to me. Everyone seems to like Lance but the one I looked at was a complete piece of junk. I'm happpy with my Adventurer but people claim they are low end as well.

Point I'm trying to make I guess is that you really need to see them and judge them for yourself.

I went thru the same thing....none of the Northwoods dealers had the Wolfcreeks in stock. I read articles and watched WAY to many youtube videos and ordered mine thru the closest dealer....after having several dealers quote. The Wolfcreek is in my opinion much higher quality than the Palomino. There are a lot of Palomino dealers around and I was very familiar with them before pursuing the WC. Actually had a Northwoods dealer try to talk me into a Palomino cause that was what he stocked. He actually asked why I was so intent on finding a Wolfcreek....I gave him an ear full!!!

It would be worth the drive or even a flight to see one.....I didn't do that cause I was convinced by my online research the WC was for me so I used the travel money to order the accessories I wanted! First Wolfcreek I saw in person was my 850 the day I picked it up. It has met and exceeded all my expectations. Sure there were some small details or issued but they were quickly and easily fixed by the dealer.

Keep in mind that many of the accessories can be dealer installed like awnings, A/C, bumper, fox landing. There are some who have even ordered and installed some interior factory items.

There is a pretty good representation of WC owners on this site many of us will happily share photos and/or answer specific questions to help you decide. You may even find somebody close by who would give you a tour.

If you haven't figured it out by now I'm biased in my opinion and absolutely happy with my Wolfcreek 850. Great experience with my dealer in Michigan.....they deal with long distance customers all the time.

The same factory workers build them in the same building. The walls arent as thick as an AF. They have no slide outs so that helps in the overall weight. Storage areas inside where it may be open instead of having a cabinet door. But still a darn good TC.

X2 My first TC was Palomino maverick 10 footer. Small tanks even on there new ones.

Try Parkview Rv in Smyrna Delaware. They have many lance models to look at.

Here in Wisconsin we have the same problem not to many TC dealers.Our search ended yesterday after 5 months of looking and missing out on some good used campers we finally bought a Lance 825. So good luck with your search, spring is just around the corner.
