quality question. Wolf creek VS Palomino

Down my way nobody sells truck campers. All I can see is used, or new Palomino. I went and looked at a 8801 today. Sure it was cold, but I saw all I needed.
Looked like a cheep RV the way it was put together. Like the factory couldn't even put the molding on right without screws sticking out because there were not driving home square.

I also like the wolf creek 840, but I have to drive 7 hours just to see one. Ideally I could have it ready so I just run up with the truck to pay for it and pick it up but I want some accessories (side awning). But after what I saw today, I think I need to look at it first.
Hopefully its way above the palomino? I been doing this camper thing all my life (including doing it with parents). I have brand new junk and sort of know what I am looking at.

What is your thoughts on the Wolf Creek?

I am looking for around 2000 lbs dry, hard side, 8'-9'. I want some weight reserve left over so I can tow my 7x14 inclosed (motorcycle) trailer. My Dodge 3500 SRW can tow 16,000 lbs, but if the fuel tank is full I got very little weight carrying ability (and I don't to buy 1000's of dollars worth of new tires and rims just to be over weight if DOT pulls me over.)

I like the northern lite, but I feel some dealers are inflating prices because inventory is just starting to come out again.$40K ain't going to happen.

not sure about the Northstar, it would take some getting used to that cassette toilet.
