Yes! It can. Even semi trucks get blow over.
If the wind is blowing directly at the side, it can push you around pretty good. My truck is a 3500, and 99.9% of the time, it's stable as a rock. But every now and then, when the conditions are just right and gust of wind hits just right, I can feel the trailer push sideways. (I've got a duly too). My experiences are NOT white knuckle, but it is enough to remind me I have 35 feet of trailer behind me.
Every now and then, it just feeds awkward. I'll ask my wife if she can tell if the wind is blowing by looking a the tops of trees. I'm watching the road, not he tops of trees. And every times, she say, yes they are moving pretty good.
Another thing I've noticed when it's a bit windy too. If I have water in my tanks, and its windy, I can feel the trailer behind much more. It's just a different sensation. I normally do not drive with my fresh water tank full, but almost empty. But every time, I've noticed a "squirrely moment" I've had a full fresh water tank (I forgot to empty.) I'll pull over and go ahead and start draining the tank. 15-20 minutes later that tank is empty, same wind, but don't have the squirrely sensation.
Just something to think about? Do you have water in your tanks? Experiment with running completely empty vs full if you do.
