Question for Host & AF camper owners.

The DW is drooling over the Host Mammoth and my question is "Can you enter the side entry campers when the rear slide is closed? We like to stop during our trips to use the bathroom etc and the floorplans make it look like the couch slide would block the doorway. Thanks.

It is narrower door than some of the others. They tried to maximize the length of all the slides so the door takes up the least amount of space.
  • on my AF 990 small wife gets through other wise open slide a little no big deal

Different versions of skinny I guess..

I'm not skinny by any definition and I have no problem getting in the opening, loading items (grocery's, etc) hitting the head, grabbing a drink, without opening the slide.

  • Not on the Host. That is our camper on the youtube video with Randal narrating the features. The video was made days before we picked it up.

  • You have to partially open the rear and driver slide to access the bathroom on the Mammoth.
  • Unsure, but check out these Youtube videos.

My internet speed is really slow right now, so I can't watch the videos.

As far as AF camper go, I think all of them you have to open the slide to get in. I say "I think", because I don't recall for sure on the 992, which has a driver side slide and a front bath. It's been a long time since I looked at that model.
