Question On 93 Coachmen TT.

Hello All, Joined today and have been looking around.. We bought a 1993 24ft Coachmen TT afew months back.. I'm in the process of redoing some of the flooring inside, and various other things.. Im sure I'll have more questions down the road, I put anew battery in it today. I have been trying to get the test button for the holding tanks and Fresh water tank to light up.. I get nothing, I can jump a wire and get the lights to light up but thats it...
I'm sure I'll have more questions down the road, But this one has me stumped on why it wont work.. Fuse's are good and I do have the 120 hooked up to the camper..
Thanks

  • Alright so i got that figured out. Now mext question. Is the water heater gas only? I hit the switch and hear something come on but that is all..
    Thanks
  • Newer TTs have some fuses on the power converter for reverse polarity, to protect the TT appliances from damage if connection is reversed. Not sure when they started putting these in, but I suggest you look at the converter to see if you have some fuses that have blown.
  • Yeah, after looking.. Come to find out I had the battery connected wrong.. Hopefully it did'nt tear the battery up in the long run.. When I hooked it up, there was a white and black wire..So I figured, black was Neg. White was postive.. Wrong, Black is + white is -, the test button now works.. But I figured the battery would run a light or 2?
  • Thats what I was trying to figure out, I seen one wire runs off of the light bulb that is plugged into the stove Vent Fan.. There is no bulb,so I need to figure out also what type goes in there.. But When I pulled the panel off you can see where a ground is suppose to go on the Hood vent inside but no ground.
