Questions on trim pieces

Hello!

Question for you all.

My 89 Layton is missing a brown piece of window trim on the exterior, bottom of the upper bunk window. It appears to be a half of a square in shape and slides in over the screws for the window to cover them up.

Do you all know anywhere were I can get another piece of trim to cover those up?

Also, on the rear of the trailer, especially on the left side, the trim piece that slides into the corner piece to cover up the screws is missing. Are they available and what exactly is that trim piece called? How would I determine what size piece I need or are they universal?

Thanks,
Greg
  • Thanks, maybe we will head over this weekend for a drive out. It's only 6 hours away, LOL Makes for a nice weekend away.
  • They have a couple of very large buildings chock full of stuff! If they don't have it, it is probably not available. It is a great place to spend a couple of hours browsing for that thing you never knew you needed! :)
Their hours of operation are listed on their website here. No appointment needed.

We travel to Michigan and Indiana quite frequently. The last time we went to Elkhart we passed the place coming back. Can you answer this for me please.... When are they open and is it by appointment?
Is there just the one place, building?
We were looking for some type of showroom but all we saw were parts outside everywhere.

Did we miss something and if so could you explain the place a bit better. Any info we got in both Michigan and Indiana on the place was very vague.

    Thanks!
  • Sounds like a search I just went through looking for trim for my old trailer- it's called "screwcover" and comes in various shapes/sizes/colors. Here's a link to some: link.

    Here's a heads-up:

I tracked mine down, still available online, but at the last minute went down to my local old-time RV shop and found some on his shelves! Got it cheaper than buying over the 'net, too.
