We have been using the Geo method for three or four years now. One can find the Calgon Water Softener in the Laundry aisle. Hard to find but not impossible. I have better luck in more rural areas that may be on well water. Our local walmart has it, so I do not have trouble obtaining it. I also use the cheapest detergent. I have never used bleach as I don't want any issues with my seals. I find these two liquids have worked well and we have had no problems. I also treat the gray water with Borateem Mule Team to keep those clean too.
